Wakisa Ministries is one of only three organisations that provide a support and counselling service to pregnant teenagers in Uganda. They are able to help 15 to 20 young women at any one time.

It is estimated that 1,600 young women fall pregnant each day. Some of them are as young as 11 years old.Uganda has the highest incidence of teen pregnancies in sub-Saharan Africa.
